U.S. Treasury slashes annual savings bond purchase limit by 83%
A person could previously purchase up to $60k/year of Series I savings bonds, which are an inflation-protected, tax-deferred investment bond. Starting 01 JAN 2008, the limit will be reduced to $10k/year.
